Hi all,

I will soon come to Canada (Ontario) in order to work temporarily. My employer suggested me to obtain my working visa permit while on the airport.
I am flying an international flight (12 hours) and I’m afraid to be exhausted from the flight (also my wife and my 1 year old daughter are coming with me).

Does anyone know how long it takes to get the working visa permit assuming the actual adjudication of the applications will take place in the airport itself?

I thank deeply to any whom answers

Hi Maormmm,

Congratulations and Welcome!!!

Depends on the situation. If the line is long, then its a long wait. Immigration agent asks questions to the applicant and to the persons accompanying the applicant before they issue the permit. They will also explain the conditions listed.

Also be sure that your employer can be reach at the time of your arrival. They always call the employer for confirmation.

Thank you very much for your answer!

Do you know some limits on the wait time? Is it 5 hours? Maybe it generally takes 1 hour but may extend to 2 hours?
