Hi,

Last day my niece was hit by a bike while walking to his office. He is seriously injured and has a head injury that requires surgery. As his financial condition is not good we plan to apply for lawsuit loans. But we require the loan as soon as possible. We have consulted a lawsuit loan lawyer to know about the criteria and conditions.

Even though we need to repay the loan if we win, we have no option other than a lawsuit loan. The lawyer told, the interest rates of the loan vary with the lenders. We have applied for the loan, the rest is in the hands of the lenders. Does anyone know more about lawsuit loans? How long does it take to get a lawsuit loan? Please share your knowledge.

Thank You!

Very confusing because you are saying he and she. Is the a bicycle or motorcycle? Does the person who hit her have insurance or assets? If the answer is no then you need to assess whether there is a point of taking legal action. In Canada you certainly don’t get huge settlements like you dip in the US.

1. Also most personal injury lawyers in Canada take these cases on a contingency basis, no money upfront, no win, no pay. Charge about 33%+ of settlement. Except in provinces with no fault insurance.
