how long does it take to do sponsorship to spouse from Peru?

Please i would like to know how long does it take to sponsor spouse from Peru? has anybody done that recently?
in the CIC site says about 12 to 14 motnhs!!! is a very long time to wait and see my husband. Has anyone done it and get the apporval in less time than 12 months?

To answer your question, we applied in Feb 2016 and are still waiting for my husbands PR Approval.
A few applicants who applied January 2016 got it in 10 Months, another January applicant is still waiting as well, he will hit his 13 month mark tomorrow actually.

i just cant believe it takes so long for spouses to be together... this is a shame. I cant imagine being apart for so long! this wating time could destroy entire families :'(.
Hope u get urs pretty soon, and im sure it will be, u already pass the worse times... God help us to the ones are still waiting...
