How long does it take to CIC to give report of receipt of additional documents?

Hi! 2 months ago I received an email requesting additional documents. I sent the papers right away, and I know, according to the post tracking, that CIC received them one week later. Nevertheless, my status never changed, it still says:

We sent you correspondence on September 7, 2016. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

Is that normal? How long does it take to CIC to give report of receipt of additional documents?

They usually don't acknowledge receipt of additional documents , you can ether ask them directly or order your GCMS notes .

You were right, my process just finished without receiving any acknowledge of receipt of the documents that I sent before.
