We went online and changed our addres last Tuesday. Now a week later it still says the same old address. Is this normal?

Yes it's normal. Ecas is shit. They allow up to two weeks for these changes to show up. I've even had an address change reversed and I had to go change it again.

I changed mine over 6 weeks ago. It has not changed on ecas but it had changed when i ordered my notes . Had an email from cic saying we have received your change of address but it may not reflex in ecas.

I changed mine in June and still no update. I don't know how it works but it doesn't seem to update all addresses for whatever reason. I did get a confirmation from my VO via my MP that they have noted our address change.

I sent in my request on July 15. It was finally changed on August 28 - it took 44 days or a month and a half!

How do I check if it has been changed? Did it three weeks ago now. Waiting for landing interview so maybe it's not worth to get into it.

I checked on line through ECAS - they showed my new address. If you waiting on landing interview I wouldn't worry about it. Just bring the email response you got when you changed it on line. They are obviously behind in updating this information.
Congratulations.

I didn't get any email response. We went on ecas and did it for both me and my wife, no email response. My lawyer have recently notified CIC as well.

Will this cause troubles at the landing?

I am not sure if it helps. When we send a change in address we were told we will not be notified or contacted but a change will be in place. ECAS was never updated but when we ordered the notes it showed the change request and the updated new address

not surprised it takes cic awhile to update files. I think it is due to the volume of applications not only spousal the foreign worker and other family applications.

No - your lawyer probably has the response from changing it on line. I wouldn't worry about it. when you are landing they won't go over you entire applications.

My lawyer has missed emails in the past..however I spoke to him few days ago in regards to landing letter and he said that all they have was SA and DM so far.

We changed it for my wife and me on ecas about three weeks ago now. My lawyer as I said earlier also informed CIC, I think through some online form, don't think it's the same as I used. He first sent the form updating it just for me, and said that it would update for my wife (sponsor) automatic. I was not happy with that so made them do one for my wife as well. Without me knowing until after, they instead sort of did it for me instead again, but also mentioned that my wife had moved as well. Something "we updated for Mr XXXXX in the past and would like to inform you that the same goes for Mrs XXXX" and so on. They didn't add any UCI or application number. All they added was my name and date of birth and said that it was sufficient. Personally I don't think that's the way to do things but agreed that name date of birth should be enough for CIC to find me in the system and thus my wife, so I cut them some slack.

Does everyone agree with that this is sufficient and there is no further actions that we need to take? Still same in Ecas. To my knowledge no email confirming the change.
On the landing CIC should have our new address, if not I can just notify them of it then and that's fine?

Thanks. Maybe that's how it is for us.

I am also using a lawyer. My lawyer changed our address for us online and I also sent a letter to the visa office to be sure. It still took sometime. I wouldn't stress too much about it.

Mine took almost two months....

So a week is nothing. I recommend update and forget.... at least for a month.
