How long did it take for you to change conditions of your stay?

Hey everyone! So I originally came to Canada in June of 2013 on a temporary foreign work permit (made it in just under the wire...they overhauled the system like two months later, blech). My work permit was set to expire in June of this year, so back in May I sent in an application to change the conditions of my stay to a visitor since we've applied for permanent residency.

They still haven't even started it! I know it's likely long wait times, but when things start taking so long, it sure makes you worry! Has anyone else been in this situation? How long did it take for them to grant you a visitor extension? (And yes, I know that I've got implied status so I'm not super worried about that - just worried about everything else, haha)

Why would it make you worry? The website states that they are working on apps received in March, so it's not like they've passed by you or your app is taking longer than the posted processing time.
