Six months is the maximum stay a visitor can stay in Canada. This is totally possible and quite common.

Thank you so much
What if on his visit He gets a job and decides to get his visa extended for like two years, will He be allowed to visit Nigeria after six months and return back again with same visa, thank you

You can't extend a visit for two years. The most he would get is a 1 year extension.

If he leave Canada, then when he returns it will once again be up to the CBSA officer how long he is allowed back into Canada. The extension is effectively canceled as soon as he leaves Canada.
