How long before your class starts you can land?

Hello guys,

I have everything ready to apply for my study permit, but I am curios they don't say when you can land in Canada. My visa office will take 2 weeks for approval.. can I land months before my classes?

Yes - you can arrive a month before your classes start. Make sure you bring additional funds. You can't start working until your classes start.

You worked illegally then I guess as you cannot work on a study permit until from the day your classes start. You will have to hope you are not found out if later you apply for a PGWP or even PR.

You can arrive in canada after you get your passport in hand. June 15th passport received and 16th a I flew.

If you worked before your classes started, you worked illegally.

No you cannot work. The immigration officer told me specifically not to work until classes start if i'm going there to study for the first time, after that you can work as much as you want but fall/winter must be full-time studies.

Incorrect. Even with a SIN, it is illegal to work before your studies start.
