I am going to graduate from a flight training program in Canad with my Commercial Pilot license and will be applying for the pgwp. I was wondering how the work experience for pilots are calculated as they are not like your typical 9-5 jobs that will guarantee you 30 hours per week. Most Pilots/flight instructor jobs only get paid by the hours that they fly. Most pilots fly for an average of 800 hours a year, which is a lot less than the required 1560 hours per year to apply for the Express Entry.

If anyone knows about this or has been through the same situation, please shed some light

Thank You!!

The experience will be considered as a part-time experience/job. When you'll complete two years = 800 x 2 = 1600 hours, that would be considered as 1 year continuous experience.
