How early can I apply for my study permit ?

Hi guys.

I just received my acceptance to attend college for september 2020 intakes.

Can I apply now for my study permit ?

I know that the study permit documentations must include (recent) proof of financial resources, etc. So I wonder if applying this early might be detrimental to my application. Is it best to wait another few months, perhaps until the start of the new year or even beyond ?

Yes, you can apply but they will give priority to Jan intake and may intake first. You can wait a little bit. No rush.

You can apply now. Applications for January of May won’t be prioritized IRCC will process your application like anyone applying for the winter or summer semester.
