LMIAs generally take 2-4 months to process. Once the LMIA is approved, you can then apply for a work permit. How long the work permit processing takes depends on your country of origin and where you are applying from.

I’m going to apply from my country of origin India .

One more question
Is it ok if I apply for tourist visa and have a visit while LMIA is under process or does it reflect wrong intention of applicant .

Lower chances of approval if you are already in Canada when you apply for the work permit. Best to apply from India.

Yes best to apply from India. Many applicants has been refused for a work permit even though they have a approved LMIA due to lack of home ties to their home country. So if you were to apply within Canada, chances are much harder because you are residing in a country with no ties at all.

Agreed,
What if I go on tourist visa during LMIA application process and come back to my country and then apply for work permit within from country of origin.
Is that sounds OK .
