How does IRCC inform you of a decision?

I am considering going on a trip somewhere for about a month, my course starts in May. How does IRCC inform you of their decision? I assume they mail the letter of introduction or rejection letter to the address they have on file, but do they also email you an electronic copy? if so can you print off the electronic letter of introduction and use that copy when entering Canada?

I know about rejection as I was refused last year. If you have linked your application to online CIC account then you will see everything there.

Sorry to hear about your outcome, yes I have my paper application linked to an online account but never received any messages or anything.. thanks for the info.

just try to check every 2-3 days and you will be able to see the status there.
