How does Bridging Open Work Permit application work?

Hi
I have received AoR which indicates that I can apply for BOWP if I am working and my wp is about to expire.
It also states that, if there will be any reason for my PR application to be rejected as incomplete, then my "completed BOWP" application will be rejected.

My PR application is under ECE and according to the following link my spouse can also apply for BOWP:

- Is this true that one can apply for BOWP only they are currently working? So my spouse who has no wp but a visitor permit cannot?
- Also, my wp will expire in 3 months. but I will activate my IEC wp soon, which will be valid for a year. Does this mean I cannot apply for BOWP?

Hi,

You can apply for BOWP with the AOR you received after submitting your documents for Canadian PR using Express entry. Yes you can apply for your wife too and there is no such condition that she should be currently working. Only requirement is she should be staying with you in Canada.

Not sure about IEC work permit though...but i think you cannot apply for two different wp at any given point of time.
