forgive me if this has come up before. But to all those who have already applied, when and how do you know if you application is fully complete. when do they tell you that you are missing something ? is it when it goes into process or after the written test ?

when do they calculate the number of days for residency, etc ?

thanks

Usually once you submit the application, cic will take few days to open it and then they will verify the documents as per the document checklist and verify everything is present along with the dates and signatures and it would be deemed complete and then they will send you an acknowledgement letter. If they find something missing, they will return the application. If the application is complete and they require additional documents in addition to the document checklist, they will notify you during the processing of the application.

and when would i know if I put in enough days or if i have miscalculated ? I am allowing a three week buffer for now (21 days) making the total number 1481.

The more the buffer is the more the better it is.

You need to print online residence calculator which will tell you meet the requirements or not for physical presence. You need to attach it with the application.
