My passport mentions my given name as "Dene Ravitri" in the given name and nothing in the family name section. However, in the study permit I received when I arrived in Canada, the family name is mentioned "Dene Ravitri" and the given name is empty. I need help in understanding what I should mention in the family name and given name sections in my imm5710 form (Extend or renew your work permit) required for filing my PGWP (I have recently obtained my degree). Thank you for your help.

Follow what you did for your initial SP app.

What do you mean by surname?
Your surname is your family name. It is also called your “last name.” When filling out applications, type your surname as it appears on your passport, travel or identity document.
Do not use initials.
If you do not have a family name on your passport, travel or identity document, enter all your given name(s) in the surname field and leave the given name field blank. Do not enter “Not applicable,” “*” or “NA.”

I accidentally entered my first name in the “Family Name” field and my full name in the “First Name” field while applying for my study permit extension. I’ve already submitted a web form to request a correction, but I’m worried about what might happen next. Has anyone else faced a similar issue? How was it resolved, and did it cause any delays? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
