Hi All,

CIC had received my PR application on 25 August 2014. I have completed my PR application through attorney. I have been checking my e-mails but never checked spam folder. Today, I had accidentally cleared my spam folder. I am not sure if got any e-mail from CIC regarding my application?

How do I know if I received my AOR or CIC had rejected my application ? Does my attorney also get notified ?

Regards,
Hairhs

Get into ECAS. The latest status info is in there.

Hey Hairhs,

First off you need to calm down. You still have some time to go before you receive your AOR. You just applied in August.

Secondly if you applied through an attorney, he/she will be receiving the email not you.

Thirdly, if you get rejected they will email you right away. So you'll know.

As springrushes mentioned, get into ECAS with your client ID and see every step of the process there. Meanwhile call your lawyer and see if he/she has provided their email on your application. Cause if they have then you have to wait for your lawyer to get back to you on every correspondent email.

So you deleted your spam folder, big deal! There is nothing you need to worry about, everything is reflected on your ECAS. And I'm pretty sure you have not received anything yet and you will receive your AOR in matter of days.

Best of luck,

rezafc mentioned everything. However, if still you are curious to know the status then keep an eye on your bank draft or credit card. If draft is cashed or charged then you will be receiving AOR soon.

There are several phases in which it can get "rejected" throughout the process. If there is a mandatory document missing then that will be detected in the first "filter" which happens BEFORE "AOR". If a document is missing (or it is not "acceptable") then the full application is sent back to the applicant. You should get the package like a month after original mailing. No email will be sent as by that phase your application is not in the system (only complete applications make it to the system).
