How do I call CIC???

I tried calling 1-888-242-2100 but when I press 0 to get an operator it says the office is currently closed. But it's 10 AM Vancouver time which means it's between 8AM - 4 PM in every part of Canada and it's Monday. Why does it say they are closed when this is their hours?

Looks like today might be a government holiday. "Boxing Day Leave". I guess I will have to deal with their incompetence tomorrow.

Yes, today is Boxing day, all government services are at full stop (contrary to the regular dead slow)

Good luck reaching someone to speak with during regular business hours. Their phone system is primarily informational. They don't give an obvious option to speak with an agent.

Ah drat I gotta call them tomorrow and I bet they'll be busy as sin. Ah well.
