Hello CV community,

I have recently graduated from an institution and now hold a 3 year Post Graduate Work Permit ( Valid until 2016 ).

I plan to get married in December this year.

What would be the best way to bring my "to be" wife to canada ?

Senior Forum Members kindly direct me to the topic if this question has already been addressed.

Thank you.

Apply for the Open work permit for your wife.Make sure u include all ur supporting docs like ur PGWP , pay stubs and bank statements

Your spouse can apply for a Spousal Open Work Permit once you are employed in a Skilled Job - NOC A, B, or 0.

You could also try for a Visitor's Visa, but chances of success are much higher with the SOWP.

You will need her application for WP plus marriage certificate, a copy of your WP, job offer letter stating duties or contract. Duties need to be inline with HRSDC's website (but NOT a direct copy) for the NOC you work under. There may be more documents to produce - there are many threads about this in International Students section as students can also bring their spouses on SOWP.
