How correctly count one year experience for Express Entry

Hi frndz

my frnd has experience of

1. July 2014-Oct 2014 in xyz company
2. Nov-2014- Till date in Abc company


Is he Eligible for EE ?
Do they consider one year full time experience in Single company or WE can take (4 months+8 months) in two different companies.....???
