Hello,

Me and my common-law partner have applied in November/2012, outland (Paris VO). In our application we believed to have sent everything requested at that point.

1) Medicals: we did not send the medical form right away, as the local DMP told us we could only take the exams after we knew our process number. I was surprised when we received an email from CIC, still in stage 1, indicating that the medicals were missing. We managed to take them in the following couple of days, sent them by courier right away, and emailed a copy to CIC. A few hours later they replied letting us know that sponsorship had been approved.

2) RPRF: we paid in full before submitting the application, but by some misunderstanding, we paid to an account number of the Paris VO, instead of through the online system. When informed by the VO that payment was missing, we made the correct payment through the online system, emailed it to Mississauga, and forwarded it to the VO (we got reimbursed later on for the initial payment).

I have seen here in the forum that some people that applied in November, that were going through Paris, have already got their process approved. I was wondering if any of these situations could have our process delayed, and if so, for how long…

thanks

Nobody will be able to tell you how long. Incomplete applications experience delays, as it takes more time to have all the pieces together. However, there are lots of other things that can explain the fact that you haven't heard yet from Paris, so it's difficult to say how long it will delay your file for... the only thing you can do is wait.
Good luck,
Sweden

Hi Sweden I have a question.

Canadian embassy in Manila requested me for my RPRF and passport.
I have sent my docs straight to Manila but my lawyer pay for my RPRF and she email it to CEM.
I was a little worried about the email that my representative sent to manila. What if the Canadian embassy in manila doesn't get it. Can I send another copy with the receipt of my RPRF via courier without my representative? Thank you so much

the RPRF should go to Mississauga and to Manila. if only to Manila they won't be able to process your file.
I suppose you can send yourself a copy to Manila - but you should also let Mississauga know that you have paid, as it should be paid to Mississauga who will then inform Manila about it.

Thank you.

My lawyer pay it online she fax it to Mississauga and email Canadian embassy manila about the receipt and the corresponding to Mississauga. I just get worried about the email from my lawyer to manila what if they don't get it. I send it again via courier and cover letter.
