Hello guys,

I know it sounds like stupid question but I recently landed with valid COPR and waiting for my first PR card.
My friend just told me until I receive my PR card, my PR status is not complete. She gave me one example that we cannot flight back to Canada without holding PR card and we cannot also prove our status as PR without PR card. I hope it is not true. I already got my new SIN number based on my stamped COPR.

Anyone please advise which opinion is true?

Thank you and happy Christmas :)

She is right about the example but wrong about the reasoning. Ask her to give one more example. :D

You're PR.

Hi

Ignore your friend. You are a PR, so of course your PR process is complete. Those without a PR card can apply for a Travel Document to return to Canada. The COPR is accepted by most in Canada as proof of status.
