Friends,

I am in an urgent need of your help. I have just got my PR and planning to land in the beginning of next year.
My problem is that my parents are old and I want to bring them along with me when I will be completing my landing formalities. Is it possible for me to take them along to Canada-what visa I will have to apply on behalf of them??

What are the possible ways for this?? Please do guide !!
Eagerly waiting for your response.

Regards.

Depending on your country, they may be able to come stay in Canada as visitors. If you want them to have PR, you will have to apply to sponsor them via Family Class Sponsorship.

If they hold visa-exempt passports they can simply travel with you and enter Canada as visitors, as long as they are prepared to leave after 6 months.

If they hold passports requiring a visa, then they would need to apply for a TRV before coming to visit Canada.

Or you can try applying for a supervisa for them, which would allow them to stay up to 2 years at a time. Of course during all this time here they will not have Canadian health coverage. With a supervisa its mandatory that they buy private insurance.

You won't be able to apply for their PR until you can show 3 years of Canadian income meeting the minimum amount for your family size.

As others have said, all your parents can do for now is apply to come to Canada as visitors. They cannot come to Canada to live permanently. It will be many years before you qualify to sponsor your parents for PR and many more years before their applications are processed. You should assume there will be periods of time (likely long periods of time) where they will have to continue living in their home country after you have moved to Canada.
