how can i prolong my stay until i get my PR

Hi

My common law partner and I are applying for PR under CEC. She is the main applicant. Although her visa is just fine, my work permit expires in 6 months, and I know it will take longer than that for the application.

So... my question is, how can I stay in Canada until I get my PR?

For other consideration, I am self-employed (small tutoring business). I also have a flex job as a sales rep (work as an independent contractor)

What do you recommend?

look at the link I posted above. This could work, depending on how fast you'll get your AOR (Acknowledgment of receipt letter).
With it you can apply for a open work permit, which will be valid for a year, that should give you some time....
