How can I obtain Indian Status in Canada?

Hello all,

It is no secret that we Indians are held highly in Canada and I noticed that its possible to obtain Indian Status which gives benefits to us Indians like subsidizes housing, free education, and income tax exemptions. Im just wondering how can I obtain this? I am a Marathi Hindu currently in India but seeing as how Canada loves to take care of us Indians I really want to get this status and then apply for express entry to be a citizen of Canada. Thank you so much

You are joking right and not being serious? How are people from India given special rights. You are not First Nations, Inuit, Métis. These are Canada's indigenous people and they are to referred to as Indians, not people from India. Why would Canadians give you free housing etc?
Do some reading about "Indian" status?
