How can I change study permit to work permit when already in Canada?

i am also an international student and currently in the initial stages of my masters... i would also like to know the chances of getting a positive lmo in the long haul trucking industry??? although i have no prior work experience but i plan to get a class 1 license and get some exp on my part-time work permit...

No experiences on a class 1 license, you would be unlikely to find an employer to hire you.

Hi, I have a question related to this topic. The spouse of an international student in Canada can obtain an open work permit but the permit is directly connected to the student. If the one with the open work permit succeeds in getting a skilled job, can s/he apply for a permanent work permit or CEC or something that allows them to stay in Canada after 1 year; and then the student stops studying? Or is s/he still required to find an employer who offers LMO?
