Good morning Guys,

I am a physician and I have applied for a work permit alone without my family members in Quebec due to some delay in study permits for my kids .

No I have the work visa , how can I apply for the visit visa of my wife and study permits of my primary schools kids?

Can i apply from my IRRC account , or should i have to create another account for them .???

Thank you

Are you already in Canada? Fellowships usually start in July.

not yet , ill be their by the end of June

You should be applying online right away for their study permits and SOWP. I know I have already stated this but want to stress that after your fellowship you will not be able to practice medicine in Canada unless you have done your residency in the UK, US, NZ, Australia, Ireland or South Africa. The only way you’d be able to practice medicine, if you didn’t do your residency in one of those countries, would be to redo your whole residency but the chances of you even getting a residency spot in neurosurgery is almost 0%. Never seen a residency spot in neurosurgery leftover after Canadian student match with their residencies and O assume you don’t want to redo a 6 year residency. If you want to continue practicing medicine after your fellowship I would consider looking at moving to the UK, Ireland, US although you’d have to go to an under-serviced area.

Thank you for your replay , may be you missed understand my query , I have no plan to stay in Canada after fellowship as a practicing neurosurgeon , my question is how to bring my family to stay with me during my 2 years fellowship and how to apply for the visit and study permit visas .

Thanks

Your spouse should apply for a open work permit and your children study permits. How old are they? You should have all applied at the same time. You can use yours or create another account. Don’t know where you live but processing can be long. If you are in Quebec, your kids may first need a CAQ then once approved apply for a study permit. Don’t know about this but look on the Quebec and IRCC sites.
