How are the days counted

Hello,

When I entered Canada the first time as a PR I got a stamp in my passport. I went back to my home country for a break and I have reentered Canada. But I do not see a stamp in my passport now. Is that how it is. If so how will I count and give proof of my days when I want to apply for renewal and citizenship?

They now do primarily electronic stamping so it does not appear in your actual passport just on your file.
