Hello,

my wife is Japanese and we were wondering which vaccines she should get before entering Canada.
I've found the following link http://www.phac-aspc.gc.ca/publicat/cig-gci/p03-03-eng.php that leads to some information about new immigrants, and lists vaccines that Canada usually requires, but I can't find information about offices whereabouts to have her case analyzed.

I'm from QC, so I tried calling the Public Health Agency, the Local Community Services Centres, refugiees clinic, travelers clinic, but they don't have the information.

I know she received the following vaccines, but how can we get started to make sure the vaccines brands, doses and received times somewhat matches with canadian ones ?
  • diphtheria
  • tetanus
  • whooping cough / pertussis
  • japanese encephalitis
  • rubella
  • polio
  • tuberculin
  • measles

For family sponsorship, I don't think the medical examination by a CIC panel physician actually serves to get that information ?

thanks!

Hi

There is no need to have "her case analyzed". They will not check her vaccination record. It's good info to have to provide to her family doctor in Canada (once she has one) but in no way necessary for the immigration process.
