hi guys,

I am an embassy employee in Canada. I came here for five years with diplomatic status. I work as an IT'er (not diplomat).

this is my first year in Canada and I would like to apply to PR. but I have no any idea, how it works?
some people told me that Canadian experince class is fit for me, some people say, applying as a skilled migrant is the best.

all suggestions are welcome!
thanks

You don't qualify for CEC. Because you are working under diplomatic status in Canada and working for a non-Canadian employer, your work is not counted as Canadian work experience and therefore you do not qualify to apply under Canadian Experience Class. You will need to look into the Express Entry / Federal Skilled Worker stream.

Also - be aware that a PR visa cannot be issued for a diplomatic passport. You will need to be holding a regular (non-diplomatic) passport to apply for PR under any immigration stream.
