I have an acceptance letter, my program will start in 2025

is it advisable to apply for a study permit in 2024?

I have a withdrawn asylum claim, I returned back to my country voluntarily due to improvements in my situation, and my intention now is just studying then returning back to my country
What are my chances to get approval if I proved all the necessary documents?
Thank you.

How far did your refugee claim get in the process before you withdrew it? Chances of a study permit are generally quite low with a past refugee claim.

When do your classes start in 2025?

They didn’t process it or schedule a date for a hearing
Classes start in sep 2025
i have strong ties to home as well

it’s heartbreaking for me knowing that it’s quite low, is it impossible?

It's hard for any of us to say. You'll have to apply and see what happens. Make sure you are familiar with the new study permit rules and meet all of those rules before you submit your application. You will want to make sure you've picked a good school and program of study that makes sense for your profile.

If you have a spouse / partner or children who will remain in your home county, that will help your case.

Sorry, just to add, I would apply at the start of 2025, not now.

Your asylum claim seems to have progressed quite far and you had a WP for a year so there will certainly be a record of your application. Were you not married to a PR and wanted to apply for sponsorship?

I decided not to apply, my wife lives with me in my country now
Will this progress in my past asylum claim make a bad impact on my SP application?

Hello,

It strikes me, just as a casual observer, that you won't set foot in Canada without an approved outland sponsorship by your PR wife.

How did you get into Canada in the first place? You don't say. A temporary entry into Canada isn't at all likely, but it's good that everything in your country turned out to be just fine. It must be a shock to fear your own people, but you seem to have recovered.

So, where will you go to study if all of the industrialized western nations are all off the table?

Hello,
Thank you for your reply.
So, I understand that I have zero chance to get a study permit even if I proved strong ties to home and financial ability?

Not zero but likely quite difficult. Makes far more sense for your wife to sponsor you for PR assuming she is a citizen and can do that from outside of Canada.
