Housing for newcomers

I know this my not be the right place for this post......but since is the place where most of the experts are...I thought I might ask.....I heard that there are some sort of provisional/community housing for newcomers.....I would appreciate any insight/confirmation of the statement...

No, there is no such housing available specifically for newcomers. There is subsidized housing available for those with no or low income. However the wait times for this housing is now typically ten years. As a newcomer you will be responsible for finding and paying for your own housing.
