guys, my wife's case just got approved yesterday, and we found the result when doing regular check to her MyCIC account. Since my wife's holding a visa-exempt passport, does she still need to mail out the passport? Or CIC will directly mail out her CoPR?

Congratulations! You'll get an email/letter telling you what to do next and it will include the below information. Please note I haven't pasted the whole letter but excerpts

If you do not require a visa to enter Canada:
· Please submit one photocopy of the photo page and any pages containing amendments of the passport for you and one for each accompanying family member. Do NOT submit your original passport.
· Ensure that your passport is valid for at least 12 months from the date of this letter.
· Please note that you cannot use a Diplomatic, Official or Military passport to travel to Canada to become a permanent resident of Canada. You must be in possession of an ordinary passport.

Please note: if you or your accompanying family members are permanent residents of the U.S.A and a holder of a passport which requires a visa to enter Canada, you are still required to submit your passport(s).

PREPARE YOUR DOCUMENTS

You must submit together:

1. One copy of this letter.

2. Passport(s) OR photocopy(ies) of passport(s), as explained in Step 2.

3. Two (2) photos of yourself and of each accompanying family member respecting precise specifications that can be found at: www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/pdf/5445EB-e.pdf

4. If not yet paid, Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) for you and your accompanying spouse (if applicable). We strongly encourage you to pay your fees online and provide a copy of the receipt. To pay your fees online, click here: https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/welcome.do.

All required documents must be submitted in one single package.

For ONLY citizens of a country exempt from obtaining a visa to Canada:

Mail or courier your package to:

Immigration Section
Consulate General of Canada
8/F, Berkshire House, 25 Westlands Road, Quarry Bay
Hong Kong

I would like to know how long it takes for HKVO to mail CoPR from HK to BC? Anyone got an idea?

Sorry I thought you were in Hong Kong, I'm not sure if the process I outlined is different or not, best to wait for the letter/email.

I got mine about 10 days later I think

If your wife is already in Canada, she may mail the documents to CPC-Ottawa. That's what my email said. I'm in Canada but I applied as outland.
