Hi Ronn
I never got AOR2 or anything from HKVO. Please share more your experience. You mentioned HK police office will take the email from HKVO. Would they take the AOR1 email which is the only email that I got from CIC so far. I submitted the file Feb 4, 2015 and transferred to HK May 5, 2015. No news up to Mar 26, 2016. We married for 20 years and our kids are Canadian studying in Canada now!!
By AOR1, I assume you meant the email Mississauga sent to you as the sponsor, saying sponsorship approval has passed. By AOR2, you mean the one that HKVO should have sent to your wife, which you never received. Well, it would have been sent to your wife (or her email address if you filled in separate email address than your own), so you will not get it in your email unless you filled in the same email address for both you and your wife.

As I said, in my case, we thought we would not received AOR2 but was never concerned (as some others indicated in this forum they did not receive AOR2)...what happened was that my wife's email auto deleted the email and we never knew. I only knew after ordering and reading the GCMS notes, which documented that AOR2 was sent out and what the contents were.

Anyway, now that you know about GCMS and will order it, you'll get a chance to see if AOR2 was sent but not received, and more importantly if that AOR2 asked for information, action from you, etc. Hang in there...if you ordered notes already, it'll be 30 days or so and you'll see if you have missed anything. Make sure your wife signs the authorization form or the request will be rejected, wasting precious time.

Hi Cheng,
Yes, AOR2 is from HKVO which I never receive and if HK police can accept AOR2, may be they will accept AOR1 to start the police check process. That why I like to ask Ronn to confirm this case.
No matter what, police check and re-do medical exam is necessary in my case the soon the better.
If I got any notes from GCMS, I may need to file documents again but at this stage I can only wait.
Thanks

My timeline same as yours but I landed last nov and got the PR card as well. I think you may need interview or the security check process longer than usual
Hi,
Yes, we have similar timeline and you already landed last Nov. You don't need interview and we married for 20 years and it seems we need interview!
Thanks

Whatever the processing time webpage currently says, how long has a new PR card been taking for family class immigrants? I suppose changing address shortly after landing could be a complication even with mail forwarding as some types of mail say "do not forward".

Depends on you need to resubmit photos or not. You probably need to resubmit if apply in 2014. U better take a new photos and bring when landing to avoid delay.

The application was May 2015 and she got COPR with visa on passport back in late January 2016 after submitting 2 photos with passport to Beijing so it should be standard time. Just wondering recent history of PR card times after landing. She lands in April and we might move within the same province after a little while.

CIC just changed the system to print the PR card. Some people requested to resubmit photos some people not depends on your luck. You can expect to wait a few months for worst case. We waited almost 4 months to receive PR card.

Ah I googled and ended up back on this website at http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/waiting-for-pr-card-after-landing-add-your-case-here-t162351.7500.html :D to see more info and history.

My wife's PPR email was dated 4 days after the new photo specs took effect and I see the current verion of the pdf is the same as the one on her PPR email. So it looks good. I hope. :)

Just one B4 form. Then you should print 3 copies and the custom need to stamp 2 copies. If you have the packing list from the shipping company, please give together. I did it in nov, very smooth
Thanks very much
But preparing for the list already give me a head ache.

Does anyone know if police certificates have expiry dates? We did ours (notorized/translated from mainland) a year ago when we submitted our application, not sure if it will expire...

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know that do I really need to change the status in Hukou to Married before submit it to HK VO to process my PR application?
