I emailed the Beijing VO and they said the handling fee about 192.9 RMB. Are you sure it should be CAD?

They said this with me...(The Attachments I included in my email were the consent form and Proof of Payment)

1. The total fee you need to pay is 192.9RMB per person.
2. Except the two attachment documents, you also need to submit the Passport Request Letter and other documents which requested on the email.
The currency could be RMB since that's the part I wasn't sure about (which was mentioned in the original post) due to it was the number I saw from another forum but everyone doesn't seem that sure about it as well.........thanks for the correction though!

I was in Canada when I prepared and sent the application so I left my Canadian address. But according to the PPR email BrianDell posted (thanks Brian!) it seems like you don't have to change it as long as you are staying in Canada legally.

It takes more than a month for getting the visa sending from HK, and about a month or less sending from Ottawa, but we can choose to buy the Xpress envelope with tracking number so it's easier to track the passport and faster to get it back if choose submitting passport to Ottawa CPC.

Submitting your passport(s) in Canada (CPC-O)
If you and all the accompanying dependents on your application are currently in Canada and plan to be in Canada for at least three months, you may submit your passport(s) to the Case Processing Centre – Ottawa (“CPC-O”). You are required to send your passport(s) together along with a copy of this letter by mail or courier to the following address.
If sent by regular mail or Canada Post Xpresspost (recommended option)
CPC – Ottawa
PO Box 9780
Ottawa, ON, K1G 4B9
Purchase two prepaid letter-sized (32 x 24 cm) Canada Post Xpresspost envelopes (Regional if you live in Ontario or Quebec; National for other provinces and territories), at any Canada Post retail outlet.
Complete the mailing label showing your full mailing address in the “Deliver To” field.
Make a note of tracking numbers for each envelope.
Enclose both envelopes along with your passport and a copy of this letter.
You can purchase a Canada Post shipping label on line: http://www.canadapost.ca/personal/tools/cst/intro-e.asp
If sent by private courier (only)
CPC – Ottawa
365 Laurier Avenue West
Ottawa, ON, K1A 1L1
If you choose to not provide us with a return Xpresspost envelope, we will return your passport(s) via regular mail (Canada Post Lettermail). Passport(s) will not be returned by private courier. Do not provide any pre-paid courier envelopes: These will not be used.
Thanks again.

After 5 months waiting, my application status has been changed from " Application Received" to "In process" finally :)
Hi LN9714,
congrat to you that you got the IP now. FYI, I am still waiting for DM. It is almost 40+ days since my IP is granted. Do you know that we (HKSAR holder) need to wait for PPR ? or just wait for CORP ? anyone can answer this questions ? and anyone know how long will it take for the next step (PPR / CORP ) for HKVO (HKSAR holder) ?

we have long way to go !!!!!!!!!!!!! ( wait.......... )

HKSAR passport holder just needs to wait COPR, no need to send the passport as visa exempt passport holder. I still waiting for IP as I just a week later than you but seems it's a long wait to change from application received to IP.....croxx my finger...

Hi All,

My status turns IP end of July and rec'd an email from HKVO yesterday with a letter of request med report and a form IMM1017E.
eCAS home address still showing my pervious HK address, but the form of IMM1017E (Medical report) already changed my New CAD home address.

I made an appointment for tmr, up front medical fee only CAD 245 (HKD 1470) cheaper than HK (HKD 2200)

It seems my app on the last stage just worrying long time of passport mailing back and fore, because I am planning back to HK beginning of Oct.

My first Med cert expired on July 6th. No wonder requesting for a new one as start process my app end of July.
The GCMS notes extend the date of my Med. it is meaningless. ::)

Just received a PPR today, the letter says:
Within 30 days of the date of this letter, you must:
Ensure that the Right to Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) is paid online, for you and your spouse (if applicable) by following the directions in this link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/f ees/index.aspØ
Submit a copy of your receipt to theØ
Immigration Section of the Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong, via the online portal at: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=hong%20kong&_ga=1 .112461836.94833378.1432175331
Submit 3 passport-sized photographs for yourself and each accompanying dependantØ
Submit Original Passport/Travel Document: Valid passport or travel documents for yourself and your accompanying dependants. If you and/or your dependents hold a Taiwan or Hong Kong SAR passport, or your passport otherwise exempts you from obtaining a visa to visit Canada (see: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.as p#exemptions), send a PDF copy of your visa-exempt passports (all pages) to the visa office: Hong Kong. All passports must be submitted together.

So does it mean i only need to mail out the passport copies with 3 photo each?

Thanks Ian. According to BrianDell and Benitagogo information, "Applicants from Hong Kong SAR passport holders and Taiwanese should send the pdf of the passport of all pages to HKVO or original passport if sending to Ottawa CPC."

"You have to send 2 or 3 pictures (according which passport the applicant holds), copy of the email, the address for the visa to be sent back, if you didn't pay RPRF (LANDING FEE, $490) you have to pay it and provide the receipt then."

Congrat! May I know your timeline please? Did you paid your RPRF Fee when you submit your full application? If yes, will your provide a copy of the receipt to proof your payment?

applicated recieved Sep 26, 2014
file transferred to HK visa office May 27, 2015
medical done in Jun 2015
Police certificate request Jul 2015
PPR Aug 4, 2015

This is for sponsoring my parents. I paid the RPRF when they requested additional doc before they transfer my file. I have an email confirmated from HK office saying that it was paid, so i don't think i need to submit another copy of the receipt?

Now i have to submit passports within 30days, but i have a problem since my mom is here with me (super visa) and my dad is still in HK, i am not sure how can i submit their passport in one package.

Also the letter indicated that i can submit "pdf" copies of their passport, does it mean photocopies? So i should make a copy of my mom's passport and courier to HK and tell my dad to courier his copies along to the HK office?

forgot to mention application received dated Sep 26, 2014 is for PR, not the original sponsorship application, it was back in 2010 for that one.

Could anyone let me know what's the photo specification for my parents' photo request from experience? I am not sure are they HK passport photo, Canadian passport photo, or PR card photo?
