Updated my frieght forwarding issue :

Best offer : 20' cargo from HK to Vancouver = HKD 19500 (around 32 CBM) + plus pick up HKD 3000 (Depends goods volume) , It is not included the cargo unload and mover fee in Canada side.

Unload cargo in Vancouver : TBA
* The broker in Canada informed me there is no trucker keen on my order, due to my house in a small village permit is required to have truck park on the driveway or side road.
* No 40' cargo will be used (even though price is only HKD 24500)
* I keep looking for a new broker listen from them.

hi Mumof3,
The HKSB premier with global account is very useful. there is no charge for TT even the other bank like China bank. you only give service charge for China bank for TT and then free charge for premier global account. ( I asked bank this TT money to know that ....) and also you transfer any money from HK account to Canada account (CAN currency or US currency ). For me, I will keep it for convenience (money transfer ). for Logistics , I will ask it next month to compare the price and details. will let you know soon. I am still waiting for criminal checking (Police) and hopefully it will request soon from CIC.

Ian,

Thanks for your info about HSBC.
I applied the criminal checking at Police headquarter this morning, it tooks only 10 mins.
Don't wait for CIC request, just print out the CIC email with your name and UCI. Save 4 weeks!!

:)

Momof3,
Thanks...yes. I will plan it asap. when did you get the AOR2 (applicant UCI ) ? there are Andriod apps (HK FX Rates ) to show rates for CAN Dollar vs HKD for all different banks for comparison. so it is easy to compare the best rates before changing to CAN dollars.

Ian.
Yes..

I've sent our application to CIC in March, they got it on March 5th this year, I hope they will speed up the processing time this month so our file will be transfer to HKVO before May!

I've also heard that about two weeks ago Beijin VO transferred many cases to HKVO, not sure if that will slow down the processing time at HKVO or not......, most of them haven't heard a thing after their files were transferred :(

I heard that. Many case from Beijin VO all transferred to HKVO,even they already got the AOR2 still transferred to HKVO >:(
My friends applied Sponsorship last year, only took her 5 months. HK case! Wish we can graduate from this soon.

Hi, buddies,

My application was recieved by Mississuaga on 17th Dec. 2014, AOR1 was on March 3 2015, SA was on 17 March 2015, now it should be transfered to HKVO according to SA.

I am now waiting for AOR2. Is anybody in the similar situation?

Thanks for your reply.

Yea that really sucks....some applicants files were in process in Beijin VO but got transferred as well..... Best of luck to all of us!!! The fastest case i've heard was a applicant sent in December 2013 and got her PR within 3 months, HKVO! Also same year 2014, there's another applicant got the PR just about four months, wish HKVO can catch up the speed they had !

Same case here. I never get an AOR1, but i recieved my SA on Mar17, 2015and mentioning the application is transferred to HKVO I was able to check my application status on CIC online tool in March. However, I try to check the status again these two days, it can't find my application. Does anyone has similar situation?
What is the AOR2? Is it an email or a letter by mail?

Hi siuanna,
Please try to sign on again for your CIC tools again (type in correct information). sometimes it stucks to say that you are not on the system. I got the same situation on last week using the apps of ecas (my mobile phone). For AOR2 question, I think you need to wait for 1 more week to see. CIC (HKVO) will send you the email to say that they received your documents and do the process in HK (AOR2). they will give you the applicant UCI for your further enquiry from HK. by the way, when you send the documents to CIC ? and received by CIC ? (e.g middle of dec 2014 ? )

Hi Ian, after you received your AOR2, did your ECAS change to "in Process"? and does the applicant get another UCI?

Hi jmo1968,

Not yet, CIC always updates the status lately, so applicant status is still Document Received for applicant (sponsorship status is DM ). there is no meaning for ECAS status whatsoever. all you have to wait for CIC email or letter to inform you your progress. For AOR2, CIC will send it to your sponsored person (applicant) email address and also applicant have her/his own UCI for future communication.

By the way. did you get your AOR2 email yet ?

Hope it can help...

No...not getting anything from cic yet, I was hoping taking the AOR2 letter for the police cert. Do you mind telling me from which email address cic is sending the AOR2 to applicant? I just wanna make sure that the email would not be put in junk mail folder ;D
