I received 2 mails from CIC today. One is the long waited PPR and also a procedural fairness letter asking to provide more evidence on our intention to reside in Canada. I have many proofs on that and I will be busy these few days trying to put together all the information. Hope I get COPR soon.

Hi,

My wife's PR application is in process at Hong Kong office at this moment and we just moved to a new place a while ago. We'd like to update the new address with the visa office but the case specific enquiry for HKVO is not working right now. Just wondering how do people here communicate with the HKVO? Just reply to the email address that sent out the AOR letters for HKVO? Thanks.
hkong-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca

Is that the e-mail address to communicate with HKVO? Someone please confirm.

You have 30 days to provide the following information, at which time a final decision will be made on your file:
- Credible evidence of your sponsor’s residence in Canada (i.e. proof of regular and ongoing residence in Canada such as bills/receipts for purchases in Canada); Provided bank statements, TV, internet, and phone bills, car purchase agreement, insurance policy.
- Credible evidence of your spouse’s employment in Canada such as evidence of employment or evidence of an active and ongoing job search; Provided pay stubs
- Copies of all pages of your sponsor’s passport. Provided

Hope this helps.

Sorry it was a typo
Hk police, my phone just auto corrected it

Called hk police again, they said they guess it might be cic didn't wanna check my police cert with different uci so yeah
I emailed hkvo already
is this what cic requested: Client Information: Receipt of information from client Hukou (household register)

is the applicant from Mainland or Taiwan? I don't think HK citizen need to provide Household Register......maybe they mean your HK ID card?

Hello :) I have a quick question to ask.

I'm Korean living in HK at this moment and my husband is in Canada (Canadian). So, we applied it thru HK office.
well.. let me share my timeline first.

We sent the application to Canada ---Mar.1 2014
AOR(?) is it my husband got accepted as a sponsor? ---- Apr. 1 2014
Medical check --- Feb 2014 and they have been received
and waiting waiting waiting no response....

then! finally my status is changed to 'in process' --- Aug. 25 2014

However, I need to go back to Korea for 3 months.. and I'm concerned that what if they ask me to submit the passport?
What should I do?

and.. Is it mandatory to submit the passport?

When I submit my passport, how long do they hold my passport?

Plus, when you receive the mail from CIC, was it email? or post mail?

Please answer me.. many thanks in advance :)

Let me share my timeline with u. I am also a March applicant and went 'In Process' Aug 19. I received PPR request yesterday and they sent it thru email if u provide an email address. You have 30 days to send the passport back and in the mail, it is said that it will need 20 days for the passport to process. They physically asked to send passport and not photocopy of it. So I guess you better wait for the PPR and go back later. If you have no additional request, it shouldn't take too long from IP to DM. Good luck.

I think you can , they ask to return thru mail or courier but you have to provide a HK address for the return of pp.

just got my wife's status changed to "Decision Made", but the details is "A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision." Just kinda worry about the wording here. Is it gonna be a good news or bad news??

many thanks!!
