Do the 5 photos of family members have to have the date and the photographers name stamped on the back? In the country specific guide for Hong Kong or Taiwan there is no mention of this. Am I missing something?

I submitted an extra picture with the name. The 8 requested had nothing at the back. The one extra can be discarded by them. Do so for each family member.

Hi motorcyclerider,
Don't worry, you might be right to have the photos with blank back, coz I re-checked the photo specification of VO HK that no requested to have date and photographer's name chop. I'm maxing up now that can't remember where I saw this requirement!! :'( Sorry for that!!

My husband received the same AOR e-mail from CIC HK to say also recevied the PR Application on the same date as yours. It seem that we are in the same group now. Think this AOR by e-mail is already the official and will not receive any paper docuement, which the same as the sponsorship e-mail told will not have any further paper docuement to be sent.

A letter today by post office from CIC HK which made us so excited when opened it, but only to request my husband to send 2 more blank back photos to them. We have sent 5 photos together with our application to CIC Canada as reqested in their website mentioned to have the chop to show the photos taken date and the shop's name, but now need 2 more blank back?? Is ther anybody has the same?

However, hope this is the positive sign that I'm going onto a further step. God bless me!

Good to hear that they r processing your file. Did u get the request of extra photos from the ecas well? because i m currently in canada now, so if they request any materials from me by mail, it will take longer. Also, originally i filed my outland appl via buffalo, united states, but due to the office is closed, so they forward my app to hongkong. So for my application submitted, it followed the requirement set by buffalo, so they may want me to submit more information later on.

Country specific guidelines do NOT require applicant's to submit photos with the photographer's name and studio on the back. Send in the requested pictures, that's it.

Thanks for clearing that up, we have our package sealed and ready for sending on Monday.

@ mobeyk: When do you think we'll get our AORs from the HK VO?? If my wife doesn't get an e-mail by the end of July, I think I'm going to send them an e-mail. Let's keep each other posted, as we should both be hearing from HK around the same time.

Cheers!

FS

Yes, we can do that. I expect to hear by August 4th.

hi fellow HK applicats.

I have applied in Feb. recieved stage 1 approval in May.
then got my app transfered to Singapore even tho my wife is from Taiwan.

I have finally corrected their mistake and Singapore VO admits they have wrongly transfered my app and it will be re-transfered to Hong Kong.

my app has wasted much time sitting at a the wrong VO, really hope this doesn't add to my processing time.
