Thanks Zeushk. Did u apply the police check in Hong Kong or in Canada then? I have called the Hong Kong police office today and they say they are still working on it. it has passed the deadline CIC gave me, so I am very concerned right now.

I am in Hong Kong and physically went to the HK Police headquarters in Wanchai to get it done. Honestly, I would not be too concerned. I found that after reading the forum here, that I was the least organised, least prepared, late on most of the stuff that needed to handed in, and in some cases, missing some documentation (and rest assured, the HK Visa office does remind you of the missing items) as compared to most of the other people who post here! So, don't worry, just let things take its course, and you'll be fine. It is easier said than done, i know, been there, done that... but really, i was checking the e-cas almost hourly. haha. kinda stupid, i know, but hey, when you're waiting for something this important.... anyways, good luck!

May be you can scan the recipt of police check to CIC via email first, that make them know you already done, I think that is only things you can do !

Thank you bobokiko. I will try to do that :)

Just an update for my wife.

She received her Passport with the visa and the COPR on Monday. The visa is dated on Oct.13, 2012, same date when she re-did her medical examination.

Plane ticket booked for Toronto on Dec.05.

Christmas is looking good here now.

Hey, right on Marty11! congratulations.

I saw the normal time from pass the passport to received the passport, usually is around 4 months, did somebody received the passport less than 4 month?

Congrats Marty11, will indeed be a very merry Xmas for you guys.

So quick ! We send the passport last Friday (9-11-2012) and return today (15-11-2012) so quick and so happy.

Wow congratulations bobokiko. You mean they received your passport last Friday and they processed and send it back today less than a week? Wow that's crazy fast. Can you give us some details? Did your ecas show any change from last Friday? When was the visa dated? Thanks.

Zeushk, I cannot tell how much your message has comforted me. I gotta admit that I check my status every day too. I am glad that amid all these nerve racking waits, I found this forum and get to lower our weight on our shoulders for a bit through sharing the information with you guys. It does feel like the processing time goes by a bit faster too!
Again, Thank you so much for your message and all the best of luck in your future endeavour.

Hi Motocyclerider, I also couldn't believe that have sent the passports by registered post and got them back with COPR just 7 days after inclduing Sat and Sun. :o
Just checked the ecas changed to "decision made" from "in process".
Now have booked the flight of coming Feb as the COPR stated the last date for landing will be March 10, the same date of the valid date of medical-exam in March this year.
I'm so excited now!!!!!!!!!
Hope others will get the same excitement soon!!!

Good luck with everything and again congrats.

Congratulations Bobokiko! All the best in your future endeavour :)

Thanks claudiakee, good luck to you as well. ;)

Wife's passport and COPR just arrived at our doorsteps. Thank you HK visa office for your efficiency and professionalism. The COPR was dated 11/23/2012 so from start to finish it took us just under 4 months. Must say I am very impressed at how fast the HK office handled our application, wish the VOs in Canada were this efficient. Will post our detailed timeline a bit later. Still taking in the feeling of relief of being done with this ordeal. Wish the rest of you going through HK a speedy journey to COPR.
