Hello All,

I plan to land in Toronto in the first week of July. I have been looking for an accomodation but without much luck for now. We are a family of 4 and my older one is 6 y/o.

One of my friend told me that since my daughter is over 5, we will need a 2 bedroom apartment. Is this true? can someone please validate this?

It depends on the landlord. For me, I prefer a single professional or couple over a family of 4.

Most landlords consider the size of the family before they rent in the GTA. You better plan for a 2 bedroom.

Correct! don't worry. There is no such rule. Tonnes of new immigrants live in 1-2 bed room homes with 4-5 kids.
