Hi There,

I live in Canada and i'm offering my sister a job (Childcare Provider) who resides in the Philippines. She however is a single mom and has a 15 year old son. Went in university for 3 years, didn't finish the program but studied caregiving. Does her certificate and a passing score in ielts suffice? I've read that if you qualify for a Permanent Resident then you will get a work permit visa. Also, can she bring his own with her?

She needs to get her education assessed. They would issue ECA for that, as to the english exams there’s a corresponding CLB that she should meet. Everything’s in their guide.

Would also warn you that hiring a family member is much harder because there has been a lot of abuse of the system in the past to bring family members to Canada.
