holidays impact on application processing

Hello Guys,

Christmas and New year holidays are fast approaching. Though the end seems near with MR but closure will come only when PPR/CoPR is received. I am a bit concerned that nothing will happen after this week until 2nd or 3rd week January which of course will be a bummer. Please if some one knows if they will work the days except the mandatory holidays or they will the work dwindle down and only resume in mid Jan.

This question has been asked before - please, just relax!
Basically govt only gets stat holidays off - there will likely be a small staff in during the non-stat days as we are guessing most people take vacations during this time.
There isn't anything anyone can do, you just need to hang on in there!

Amen! What are you expecting? VOs are humans too and take vacation. There will be staff and CIC will continue to work tho.
I heard people talking that CIC staff also has families... I know right?! Sounds crazy, but people take time off to spend it
with their families over holidays. And I don't think they care if we get applications approved one week later or not.
