Hello my friend, yes received my PPR, after 7 months since my AOR.
All the best
Congratulations Man

I requested the doctor here in Canada to change to a different new age drug. You should do it too once you land

It took me about 2 months for the medicals to be cleared. How abt you?. Did u get any update on ur medicals?
Hello! I just have a question regarding medicals. You mentioned that it took 2 months to be cleared of medicals.. and you did two medical reports (first one and additional one).

Now I’m supposed to submit the documents after getting an ITA within 60 days. Should I submit the initial first medical checkup/report within that 60 days period? or the first and the second altogether within 60 days?(I assume the first is reasonable). Thanks!

Anyone on Genvoya?

According to the Ontario Drug Formulary, which was used as a basis for IRCC’s calculation of excessive demand cost threshold on their explanation on the IRCC Website, Genvoya is slightly cheaper than Atripla, which a lot of applicants have been approved with.

Anyone on Genvoya or other drugs who got their medicals passed?

Hi guys,

got 2 quick questions post ITA;

1. I have answered yes to statutory question regarding physical disorder and is it ok if I just answer saying : HIV positive with undetectable viral load and stable CD4 count...or should I add other details like medication as well? During medical exam , the panel physician has already noted those details..let me know if just 1 line should be sufficient

2. During medicals, as soon as I disclosed my status doc ran tests for hep b and c, and IGRA , apart form regular tests..is this normal or something unusual ? all my reports were normal.

looking forward for reponse.

regards

1. Yes. Seems like what you did is a standard practice (?) for everyone.

2. Yes. Seems like what they did is a standard practice for the case. Hence the increased coat (an additional $100 appx.). If you had brought your regular usual HIV doctor’s Specialist Report to the medical test centre up front, it could’ve saved some more time, but absolutely no worries. IRCC is gonna ask for it anyway, which is in fact a standard procedure.

It takes a bit more time for PLs, but we will surely get there. Some got PPR 2 months after MEP. Others needed 4-5 months. But then again, non-PLs go through totally different processing times as well.

Thanks what I was talking about thanks for your post.
And very good luck.
I am also HIv positive and submitted my documents in July. I am taking Mylan generic medicine which cost 5000 CAD per annum.
Immidiately they asked for additional test for Hep B and C which I done and was negative for both and then I submitted my documents at the end of July.
Still waiting for my medical results to be reviewed.
Please can you tell me how long did it take after submitting your application and additional tests to have medicals passed?

Hey folks ,
It gives me immense pleasure and courage after reading this forum. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences in this forum. I was diagnosed this year in January. I am in Australia right now basically from India. I am here on work visa post finishing my post graduation here in Sydney. I was invited to apply for Australian PR as I got all my points completed but unfortunately before applying for that I was diagnosed with HIV and later on I came to know that with HIV, I would not get PR in Australia under skilled migration programme . Now I am preparing my self to enter in the pool for the express entry to Canada. But I have few questions to clarify:
1. Currently my CRS score is 400 , are there any chances for being get invited ?
2. What if I apply for student visa? What are the chances of getting approval?
My work visa now here in Australia is getting expired soon and I have to move back to India , there I will look for job as soon as possible to grab more points for experience , but I wants to come to Canada straight from Australia. I am on Biktarvy and I became undetectable just after 4 weeks of starting medication and it’s more than 8 months now. Please suggest me some ways how I can improve my CRS score or if I can come to do another masters there in Canada.
Waiting for your valuable replies.
Thanks.
Amrit

Hello guys, I read through this feed and found some interesting information. I am HIV +ve.
I wish to apply for a study visa, even though I haven't submitted the application yet, I went for my medical tests.
The first medical test was on 2nd July, followed by Hep B & C and TB test. I got all the results as negative. On the 4th of October, I was done with all the tests and checkups, which included an additional X-ray.
Now I still haven't heard from the immigration department about my medical status. How would they let me know of my medical status if I haven't submitted an application form for the Visa yet? Usually, I receive emails from them if they need any additional information or tests. How much longer would it take? what other things can I expect? It is a case of an emergency for me. I can't contact them through email or call.
any information on the topic would be highly appreciated.
Hi Ravi_Singh, can you please update about your situation. Did you get the study visa? Please reply me ,it would be much appreciated . Thanks

Guys, Got the mail to submit my passport today. I got the PR. Thanks for all your help. This group was really helpful in alleviating my fears and nervousness throughout the process. Thanks a lot guys.
Congratulations mate..!!! can you please guide me with my doubts? What was your CRS score and did you apply on your own or with the help of any qualified migration agent?
With CRS of 400 , is there any possibility ?
What are the chances of student visa approval?
Thanks
