Higher bp issue for parents over 75

My parent's bp was higher than the standard 170/85. Doctor asked kidney test., anything to worry. When I google it, according to his age 75, normal is 150-160.. Any thing to worry.

150-160 is certainly not normal for a 75 year old man. These are high readings for that age.

To answer your question, it depends what further tests find and what the underlying cause is of the hypertension.

Has your father sought treatment yet for his high blood pressure? 170 is really quite high and he can't be feeling very good.
