I have white-coat syndrome so my blood pressure hit the fan when i was at the dr's office. She told me to come back next week to measure it. If it's still high she'll send me to do few other tests which can take longer.

Do you know if it will effect the decision of my PR app? Thanks!

I have the same issue. I spoke to the doctor and he asked me to measure my BP for a week prior to the visit. I took 2 readings each day for about 5 days and showed him the reading. He agreed to use the average if my BP on the day of the visit happens to be inflated. But fortunately, it was okay and he used the actual reading to report to CIC. Try relaxing (I know its not easy), take some deep breath. There are few relaxation techniques on web. Just go thru them. Have them measure your BP in few intervals and see if makes a difference. I like to lie down and relax. See what best works for you.

Don't worry, this won't impact your PR. Even if you have high BP, its absolutely okay as long as you are on medication and there are no complications. Btw, I have my COPR now and I am ready to land. So trust me when I say this. Just stay cool.

Thanks so much guys for the advice! I was so stressed out at the dr office. She let me try several times but it was still very high. Been trying to tell myself it'd be fine for the past few days so fingers crossed :D

I also got this white coat problem, where I was asked to go to my family doctor and have my BP checked for a week and yes doctor also did some king of urine test and ECG all things were fine.
I was comfortable with my family doctor and my BP was normal at family doctor's clinic. after a week my family doctor send my report directly the CIC designated doctor.
with that said I landed in Canada after many months of that.
