My BP was 170/100 went to cardiologist I was told my heart was swollen cos of prolonged bp.Got abnormal ECG.My echo showed my heart retraction rate was 74%.normal is 50-75% just pray your heart fall in that range that's what they re looking for. But no worries buddy .Got my PPR already.

This is not a criteria for visa..even i faced same issue..you will get through

For those worried about health issues, please understand that IRCC just wants to ascertain whether you are going to possibly be a burden on their public healthcare system, that's it.

My blood pressure was 146 over 96...do u think they will refer me to a cardiologiest?

Hi,
I went for my medicals today. I don’t have any issues with BP , but today it rose to 160/100. They again checked the blood pressure and it came to 140/100.

I m not sure if that okay or will I get certain queries for further tests by CIC.

Hey .. what’s ur status now ? Did You passed the medical examination?

Hi guys,

I have never been this scared in my life. Went for medical with my wife. Her bp was normal at 105 but mine was at 150/100. I was asked to see a cardiologist. My bp has never gone more than 130 before. Anyways I went for an ECG and ECHO and immediately I saw the doctor, my heart started beating faster than normal. My bp was checked and it went to 150/100, checked again and went to 167 and the third time, it went to 178. The doctor told me to relax and it fell to 140/90. I was told that my heart is enlarged and on the borderline and also told that my heart is in perfect condition and fit 100%.

After the test and the doctor had recorded 140, I then asked to check one more time and my bp fell to 134.

I have been checking at home now and bp is at 120.

My wife is the PA but I am scared simply because I do not want us to be rejected.

Please I need advice...

You have white coat syndrome. You will be fine as long as your heart is is still in the normal size range.

High BP shouldn't be an issue if no underlying serious cardiac problem.You should be taking steps to lower your BP via diet, exercise and/or tablets.
