ok then so what are the requirements in renewing work permit? because my plan is not to work with the same employer anymore after my 2years on october 31 this year..please message back i really need your help on this matter.

if you are going to change employer...you would require a new LMO....And likewise apply for a new work permit

Note that you can't work for a new employer without a work permit for that employer. If you already have an OWP then by all means work any job that you opt for/qualify for/get accepted to, but until you have an OWP or a WP for the new employer/s, you can't start working for him/her/them. If you can get an LMO for a different type of job (other than that of a caregiver) then apply for a new work permit at CPC-Vegreville.

@jangs first try to read if you qualify to apply option 2. Gather all the documents you need in the checklist and see if you can submit your PR/OWP before your work permit expired. You can just wait for your OWP in 3-4 months time. Its just im not sure if you can continue working after wp expired. Because you apply for OWP not an extension of your present work permit.

You are under implied status waiting for the decision of your OWP. Only that there is a risk. You can still apply for restoration or bridge extension of your work permit if ever. If you want to be 100% safe apply to extend your work permit in your present employer. 6 months to 1 yr. or tell your employer until you received OWP

You need to update new employment contract with the prevailing salaries and wages according to provincial laws and updated LMO at no cost. Ask your employer to call hrsdc to request LMO copy in order to extend your work permit same employer. Apply 3 months before online or in paper. How to apply follow this link
