I AM STUDYING IN CANADA WITH A VALID STUDENT VISA AND STUDY PERMIT. RECENTLY, I GOT THE IMMIGRATION VISA(MA-1) AND PLAN FOR LANDING IN NEXT YEAR WITH MY PARENT. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THAT CAN I GO TO USA FOR MY XMAS VOCATION WITHOUT USING MY IMMIGRATION VISA FOR RUTURE TO CANADA, SINCE THE VISA ONLY FOR ONE ENTRY. CAN I JUST USE MY STUDENT VISA FOR RE-ENTRY?

PLEASE HELP!!!

If your passport have a Canadian PR visa on it, you will not be allowed to enter to Canada because you should land together with or after your father (Principal applicant) lands. If you re-enter by road from USA, I don't know really, how the officer at the Canadian boarder will treat you?. It depends!!.

If s/he is only going to the US, then he/r will be admitted back to Canada on the strength of his Study permit, as long as it is valid. He will not be "landed" as the principal has not "landed" as yet.
