can some1 help me on these concern,same friend i have always had took accademic module IELTS and today she called to tell me its not accepted anymore,is this true?

i think u have to appear in General Module bcz Academic and General are not interchangeable.
 
Academic Module is accepted as far as I know. Lets wait for other to comment
 
Actually, CIC recently started accepting both the academic & general IELTS as proof of language ability.

See page 31 of OP6 (www<dot>cic<dot>gc<dot>ca/English/resources/manuals/op/op06-eng<dot>pdf)

ok .. sorry i stand corrected then .. i took ielts last year and till then only general module was accepted... good luck to you and hope things work well for you ..

They have never changed it in CIC website, only in the "OP 6", I checked that link many times during the last few months and it was never saying that the academic verison of the IELTS test is acceptable, only the updated "OP 6" was mentioning that point on page 31 (which is no longer updated now).

Therefore, it is still unclear yet whether they are still accepting the academic version or not, it will show in the new update in the "op 6".
