I don't think so. I didn't tell my school about my arrival schedule. But you need to goto the Office of Registration and pick up your Student ID and other documents that they usually give to new students.

You should go the day of or after you're all settled down in your place of living.

you should definatly attend the orientation..it gives u an idea abt the university
