Hi! Hope everyone's doing well,

I would like some help with submitting an IRCC webform. I want to ask a unique question regarding my application, so, I chose, "Update or ask about your application: Other".

I am on a PR permanent resident family class sponsorship as the dependent. When choosing, "What application did you submit?" I'm not sure what to pick. I'm living in Canada, so the two closest options seem to be, "Inside Canada - Spouse, Partner" or, "Parents, Grandparents, Other". I'm not sure which of the two is best, so I'd like some guidance on this.

Thanks!

If you're sponsoring your spouse, it's the first one of those two.

No, I am a dependent child who is being sponsored by a Canadian parent. What should I put in my case?
Does it not say dependant anywhere?

I'm not familiar with exactly what webform says, but you should consider that generally IRCC will look at it from point of view of what it considers default - sponsor or applicant, but a 'dependent child' it may only be considered from POV that the applicant/dependent child is presumed to be a minor.

Not sure though. You may have to ask the sponsor to prepare/send the webform. (Officially)

I am still considered the principal applicant even though I am a dependent child, I think because I am legally an adult.

Like I said, the only options I see that's at least somewhat similar to my case is "Parents, Grandparents, Other" and "Inside Canada - Spouse, Partner" I guess I'll choose Inside Canada? It's strange how there's no dependent child option. Hope this helps others at least.

Is this selecting as principal applicant? What if you try selecting as sponsor?

This is what I mean by the POV that they assume may be the issue...if they assume that 'dependants' means minor children (even though they can be adults legally), they may simply have not put that option for principal applicants/dependent children
